Dear Allina Health Trail Mix Runner:
Thank you for your patience as we have evaluated multiple plans for the Allina Health Trail Mix Race over the last several weeks. The race will go on but in a re-imagined way!
This year's Trail Mix will be self-directed and self-timed over a two-week period beginning July 11 and concluding July 26. You can race any day you choose, including before July 11, and submit your results during the two-week window. The course at Lake Rebecca Park Reserve will be fully marked for the duration of the event.
Your email will be shared with our race results partner, Mtec, so they can send you your custom link for recording your race time(s). Mtec only uses your email address for this purpose and will not sell your contact information to any third parties. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact [email protected].org.
With the new format, there will be no packet pick-up, and race numbers are not required. All runners who submit finish times can choose either Gear West (Long Lake) or TC Running Company (Eden Prairie) to pick up finisher shirts, medals and other goodies starting July 27.
The course is primarily an active equestrian trail consisting of mowed grass and dirt. We ask that you be conscientious of other trail users. We also ask that all runners follow the Minnesota Department of Health guidelines while you run and to practice social distancing while on the course.
Runners are responsible for providing their own water and nutrition, and we encourage friends and family to help support your race. The course is accessible near the South Group Camp on the south end of the course (approximately 5.6K) and via Roy Road on the western side of the course (approximately 9.7K). Restrooms are available in the main Lake Rebecca parking lot (near the start/finish).
The course will be fully marked July 11 through July 26 and will be checked regularly; however, we do advise all participants to print and carry the course map. The 12.5K is one lap, the TC Running Company 25K is two laps and the Gear West 50K is four laps.
Visit the Trail Mix Race web page for more details.
