Dec. 9: Snow Emergency Alert in Plymouth

Snow Emergency Alert: A snow emergency has been declared in Plymouth. Full city snow removal began at 10 this morning. Thank you for your patience and please drive carefully.

📢❄️ Seasonal Reminders:
→ Mailboxes: Please clear snow in front of mailboxes to ensure postal deliveries. Snow plow drivers are not able to clear snow directly in front of mailboxes, as plows may knock down and damage posts – especially with heavy wet snow.

→ Throwing Snow: Please do not shovel, plow or blow snow into the street. In addition to it being illegal, throwing snow in the street also makes it difficult to clear roadways.

The Minnesota House Capital Investment Committee recently made a stop in Plymouth as part of its recent Bonding Tour.

The committee learned about expansion and renovation plans for the Plymouth Creek Center – and the city's request for $15 million in state bond funds.

Built in 1999, the Plymouth Creek Center is a regional asset, which draws 300,000 visitors a year. Growth in Plymouth's population and increased demand from regional users has left the PCC constrained in its ability to meet current and future needs.
