The Idaho Field of Heroes Memorial is a special event for us here at the Home. It is a massive community volunteer project created in 2004 to honor and remember casualties from Iraq and Afghanistan. It has expanded several times in scope and size and is now held on the grounds of Century High School. We are grateful to be able to participate and attend and proud of our Veteran community for their amazing work each year to make this happen. We love where we live.

We had a fun cultural celebration for Cinco de Mayo! We had pinatas, 'mock' margaritas, a huge taco bar and one of our residents sang a special song for us. It's important to honor all of our residents special heritage, and this was a great opportunity for us. We are so grateful for each and every resident here in the home and it is a privilege to care for them!

We are so fortunate to have such beautiful outside spaces for our residents to enjoy. We have gardens, planters, a huge yard out back, gazebos, several outdoor dining and seating areas, a rose garden and a large greenhouse. Several volunteer groups have come by recently to help with cleaning, prepping and planting of all of our garden beds. We have planter barrels outside of every window with beautiful mums donated by Costco! What a joy to have these family & friends help us with our Home beautification projects! We will enjoy the fruits of their labors all summer long! We are so blessed with community friends and partners for helping us make this the best Home for our residents.

Our friends from the 12 U Defenders Baseball Team stopped by for some fun and games with our residents. It's always fun to have young faces in the Home. They donated model projects and snacks. They had fun with Legos, cards, and stories. They even showed us some great dance moves to our jukebox music. Thanks for the visit!! You brought your smiles and great energy.

Hello Friends and Family:
We are excited to announce our 2026 Flag Quilt Raffle brought to you by our IVAL! This amazing quilt was made from 100% donated materials and put together by our residents and staff in our Sew What Club! The quilt is 100% cotton and measures 53X68. Funds raised will go to an organization selected by the resident members of the Sew What Club. It's their way of giving back to our amazing community.

The drawing will be held June 27 at the Home.
Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. We can only accept cash for the tickets.
Tickets are available to purchase June 2 thru June 26 at the following locations:

Idaho State Veterans Home Business Office- Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm (1957 Alvin Ricken Drive)
Pocatello Elk's Lodge #674- during open Lodge hours Tuesday thru Friday (410 S. Main Street, Pocatello)
Cars & Coffee- Sundays 10am-12pm or call Dave at 208-252-5140 (Key Bank parking lot- 910 Yellowstone Avenue)
