For this week's partner feature, we will be traveling to the coastal town of Valencia, Spain! Both the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Valencia are very popular destinations for Idaho State students! It is required that you speak a bit of Spanish to study here, but I can assure you that it is well worth it! UPV is a school that is more geared towards math, engineering, and science whereas UV has a greater number of liberal arts programs.
For this week's school feature we will be traveling north to Umea, Sweden!
Umea University is very similar to ISU in the classes and programs it has, so it is super easy for students to find courses that transfer! In addition to that, Umea has an excellent Buddy Program that gets you set up with friends right as soon as the semester starts, during new student orientation!
Tomorrow one of our students studying abroad in Valencia, Spain will be taking over the ISU Snapchat! Make sure to follow them to be able to see all of her adventures!
With only a few weeks left in the semester, make sure you make an appointment to discuss studying abroad before you leave for the summer! Contact us at [email protected] to set up an appointment!
Each week we will begin featuring one of our many partner universities to give you all some more information about your options!
This week we will be starting 4,684 miles away from home in the beautiful town of Plymouth, England! Right now, our partnership with Plymouth University covers humanities courses, so you could be taking anything from art to history, or even dance classes! Plymouth is right on the coast so it is the perfect place to soak up some Vitamin D ☀️

We decided to do a little throwback on a Tuesday!
Written by one of our favorite Alumni Students...James Campbell!
"as exchange students we often had meals in Turner Hall together, and we all bonded over how different Idaho was. I made friends from Uruguay, Germany, Sweden, Mexico, Burma, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, England, China, and Trinidad, as well as the States, and I truly feel blessed for my experience that studying abroad was able to furnish. I ended up getting a dissertation out of my exchange year too, since I became more interested in the work, life experiences and philosphy of Martin Luther King, and was able to travel to Atlanta to visit the King Center and National Center for Civil and Human Rights"
