Warehouse Specialist
Reports to: ReStore Store Manager
Status: Exempt. Hourly wage $8.50
Base hours: 24 hours per week, Tuesday to friday 10am-3pm and Saturday 10am-2pm
**or**
Wednesday-Friday 10am-6pm
*additional hours may become available if business expense permits.
DESCRIPTION: The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for the processing and flow of all merchandise from the point of donation through to placement on the ReStore selling floor.
Responsibilities:
Follow the established ReStore processes for receiving, organizing, cleaning, pricing, and displaying donated items. Ensure all merchandise is put out on display in a timely manner and is in a clean and appealing condition for sale.
Drive the ReStore truck to pickup and deliver items (training provided).
Screen donations for quality at the time of pickup, following ReStore guidelines as to which items are acceptable for the store. Treat donors with tact at all times.
Determine prices of donated items (using the Store’s Pricing Guide).
Maintain an organized and orderly warehouse area at all times.
Operate the ReStore truck. (CDL is not required.)
Ensure a safe operation at all times in all areas of the store.
Comply with OSHA requirements, including hazardous waste removal.
Provide customer service as needed.
Operate the Store’s cash register when needed.
Work with volunteers who are helping in the Store.
At the direction of the Store Manager, prepare and take items and trash to the landfill for disposal.
Participate in rotation of assigned cleaning chores with other ReStore staff.
Other duties as may be assigned by the Store Manager.
Wear a ReStore-supplied apron when on duty in the store and, when lifting more than 30 pounds, a ReStore-supplied back brace.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three references from past employers.
Clean driving record.
Clean drug test.
Clean background check.
Ability to learn to drive the ReStore truck.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
