POMFRET Food Drive - September 5th at the Community Center

Pomfret Proprietors will be hosting their monthly Food Drive to benefit TEEG's 'Pomfret Community Market' on September 5th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Community Center, 207 Mashamoquet Road, Pomfret Center. The September drive is being staffed by the Abington Social Library.

Donations of pantry items - canned meats, canned vegetables, canned or dried fruit, applesauce, crackers, rice, pasta, canned soups and cash donations are always welcome! Refrigeraters and freezers are available for perishable items. Toiletries are also greatly appreciated!

The upcoming POCD meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 6 pm at the Pomfret Community Center will be reviewing the Ag Commission survey posted earlier this year and discussing farm and Ag interests and "recommendations" for Pomfret's future.

It is very important that the farming community be a part of this conversation. Many farms will not be represented in the numbers presented. Please try to attend.
