Asking directly, “Are you thinking about su***de?” won’t put the idea in their head. If you think someone in your life is at risk of su***de, talking about it with them can help save their life.

If they say yes, don’t panic. Stay calm, prioritize their safety and call 988 together to get more support.

Go to neverabother.org for tips on what to say and how to take action.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. If you or someone you love is struggling, please know you are not alone. Help and support are available anytime by calling our 24/7 Mobile Crisis Care at 866-623-9500 or by calling/texting 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Even with friends and family around, someone experiencing emotional pain or suicidal thoughts can feel isolated. You may sense something is wrong, but not realize how serious it is. Trust your instincts and reach out, especially if the behavior is new, has increased or is related to a painful event, loss or change.

The warning signs for su***de can include:
💜 Sudden mood changes
💜 Withdrawal
💜 Changes in sleep
💜 Feelings of hopelessness
💜 Talking about wanting to die
💜 Putting affairs in order
💜 Feeling trapped
💜 Reckless behavior
💜 Increased drug and alcohol use

Your feelings are valid, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed, anxious, saddened, or angry. You don't have to go through those feelings alone.

September is here, and with it comes a full month of opportunities to learn, connect, and support your well-being. 🍂Join...

Last summer, participants in our Therapeutic Community Garden's (TCG) Connect to Nature group shared some of their favorite easy recipes made with fresh produce grown in the garden. This summer, we brought those recipes together to create the TCG Summer Recipe Book.

The Garden is more than what we plant and harvest. It's a place where people come together to share experiences, build skills, and connect through the foods we grow and enjoy together.

Interested in joining us? Call the Therapeutic Garden Team at (909) 623-6131 to learn more about our free weekly groups 🌱Visit https://tricitymhs.org/our-services/prevention-wellbeing/therapeutic-community-gardening.

🎬Video Description: Video slideshow featuring recipes from the Therapeutic Community Garden Summer Recipe Book alongside photos of ingredients growing in the garden. Featured recipes include coyote mint kettle corn, eggplant parmesan, bruschetta, cucumbers with lemon, salsa verde, and guacamole, showcasing fresh harvests, healthy eating, and community connection.

The start of the school year can be exciting, but also stressful and overwhelming for students. That’s why NAMI created the Three C’s to help parents and caregivers support their child’s mental health:

💚 Get Curious – Notice changes in mood or behavior, ask open questions, and listen with empathy.
💚 Get Concrete – Build consistent supports and routines that help your child feel safe and connected.
💚 Stay Compassionate – Use language that validates their feelings, avoid assumptions, and stay calm.
