We are the PRCC College Republicans and our main goal is to get college students actively involved in a meaningful political discussion in hopes to stir a passion in the hearts of young voters to take a stand for America. The number one issue that faces college students is that many of them are uninformed about the current political climate. That's where the College Republicans comes into play. fo
unded in 1982 by University of Michigan Law student, James Francis Burke, the organization has since stood as a platform for young college students to have their voice heard across the nation. The College Republican National Committee, CRNC, has a nationally elected chairman and officers who lead the organization, as well as support staff operating out of the national headquarters in Washington, D.C. Each state maintains its own federation with a state chairman and a leadership committee who work directly with the National Committee. In 2001, the CRNC filed as an Independent 527 Political Action Committee, which it remains today. The CRNC is made up of 50 State Federations and the District of Columbia with more than 1,800 College Republican chapters and over 250,000 members. As the nationally elected voice for young conservatives across the country, the CRNC drives and defines the debate for College Republicans and bring youth-oriented issues to the forefront of the political discourse. PRCC is currently a member of the Mississippi Federation of College Republicans for we which we have state elected positions. Over the years the national parties have changed their opinions on issues, and it has always been up to the future generation to mold the party into what they believe it should stand for. This is why it is so important to have young people involved in the current political climate, to make our voice heard so that we can impact our great nation in a positive way.
