ATTENTION: Cold Weather Shelter Open in Port Charlotte

Due to extreme cold conditions, the Charlotte CARE Center will operate a cold weather shelter on December 30 & 31.

What to Expect:
• Breezy conditions and cooler temperatures
• Hazardous marine conditions starting this evening
• High risk of rip currents through late Tuesday night

Overnight Lows:
• Tue morning: 47°F
• Wed morning: 33°F (wind chills in the upper 20s)
• Thu morning: 35°F

Pre-sign up is available during the day, with overnight shelter open 8PM–6AM.

Please help spread the word to anyone who may need a warm, safe place.
