ICYMI: A true homecoming! The 37th Training Wing is proud to welcome Col. Kellie S. Courtland as our new commander. 🫡

Nearly 37 years ago, she walked these same grounds as an Airman Basic. Today, she returns to lead the Gateway Wing, bringing a wealth of experience, including previous service here as a flight commander and master military training instructor.

The 37th TRW welcomed Honorable Michael Borders, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Energy, Installations and Environment, to Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland as part of a USAF Basic Military Training and 341st Military Working Dog Training Squadron immersion.

During his visit, Borders engaged with Airmen, observed key aspects of the 37th Training Wing mission, received updates on the Department of War’s Military Working Dog program and addressed Basic Military Training graduates during the graduation parade.

As the Gateway to the Air Force, the 37th Training Wing develops Airminded Warriors while advancing capabilities that strengthen readiness across the force.

Leadership in action at the 37 TRW! 🦅

We were incredibly proud to welcome Major General Wolfe Davidson from Second Air Force to Joint Base San Antonio to serve as the Reviewing Official for our USAF Basic Military Training events last week.

It takes immense dedication, discipline, and grit to earn the title of American Airman. This is where our commitment to the mission begins, by forging a non-negotiable warrior identity in every Airman. Having Maj. Gen. Davidson here to meet our newest wingmen, perform the Oath of Enlistment, and recognize our BMT Top Graduate made this graduation week worthwhile.

This Memorial Day, the 37th Training Wing remembers and honors the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation. Their courage, sacrifice, and legacy live on through every service member who serves today.

As we train the next generation of Airmen and Guardians, we remain committed to honoring their legacy through service, excellence, and readiness.

We remember the fallen. 🇺🇸
