Our Story
Nifty Valley Farms was founded in July 2019 after longtime ma*****na farmer, Andrew Lazartic discovered the pain management benefits of Cannibidiol (CBD) in his battle with the autoimmune disease, psoriatic arthritis. No cure exists, and symptoms can be debilitating and extremely painful. While exploring alternative pain methods, Andrew discovered that CBD plays a huge role in slowing down the body’s “fighting” normal, healthy cells.
Founding Nifty Valley H**p Farms, Andrew and longtime friends and business partners, Ryan Stow and Ben Crado cultivated two strains of CBD flower specially-bred for their pain management potential. But they needed a farm to raise them.
Just a short drive from Portland over the Columbia River on the St. John’s bridge lies Sauvie Island, known for its agricultural microclimate. About the size and shape of Manhattan and originally inhabited by the Multnomah tribe of Chinook Indians, the island is composed of nutrient-rich soil washing down the river from the nearby mountains. The remarkable soil and ideal growing climate that gave the Multnomah the Wapato wild potato was the ideal spot for our farm.
With the seedlings and a small 10-acre plot, Nifty Valley Farms was born. We offer sustainable organically grown craft CBD h**p flower with a special emphasis on pain management potential.
