Tomorrow’s first 90° day of the year means it’s time to take the heat seriously, especially if you have pets. Make sure they have plenty of fresh water. Provide shade and avoid hot pavement that can burn paws. Never leave pets in parked vehicles, even briefly. The first hot day can catch people and pets off guard.

Lamprey Health Care’s New Moms Support Group is a free, welcoming space for moms with infants and toddlers up to age three to connect, share experiences, and support one another

This weekly group is focused on peer connection in a supportive, judgment-free environment while exploring topics such as stress, sleep, childhood development, and postpartum mental health care

Tick season is upon us! As temperatures warm, ticks start emerging. Be sure to use insect repellents, wearing protective clothing such as socks, long-sleeved shirts, and long pants. After being outside, check your body for ticks. Stay on cleared paths and away from forests, marshes and tall grass. You can reduce the number of ticks around your home by removing leaf clutter, mowing the lawn, and clearing brush. Take these steps to protect yourself from tick bites and tick-borne illnesses.

Ticks can be brought inside in your pets and harm them and the rest of your family. Always be sure to thoroughly check pets after they spend time outside!
