Contestants ages 9-18 can upload their submissions using this form: bit.ly/algonkiantalent

Calling all talented Algonkian students aged 9-18!!

Enter the first ever, Algonkian’s Got Talent, a friendly competition to uplift our artistic youth and to offer them space to share their gifts and achieve recognition for their skills and hard work.

Arts are an integral part of education, culture and society that help us develop empathy and to understand people, places, history and issues with which we may otherwise be unfamiliar. The arts ignite our imaginations and offer a creative outlet unlike any other. Engaging in the arts at a young age builds brain power and confidence.

Submissions will be judged by a panel of music teachers and local musicians for technical and entertainment value. Submissions will be posted on the Algonkian Supervisor’s page and available for public viewing and voting. Winners will be announced at a virtual celebration on November 13th.

Contestants, or at least one member of the talent group, must live in the Algonkian District or attend Algonkian District schools, including Seneca Ridge Middle School and Dominion High School. Categories will include Solo Instrumental, Solo Vocal, Group Musical Act, Dance, and Miscellaneous. Contestants can upload their submissions using this form: bit.ly/algonkiantalent
