National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is a powerful reminder of the calm voices behind the chaos—the unseen heroes who answer the call when every second matters. These dedicated professionals are the first first responders, offering reassurance, clarity, and lifesaving coordination in moments of fear and uncertainty.

With steady hands and compassionate hearts, telecommunicators bridge the gap between crisis and care, guiding both the public and emergency teams through some of life’s most critical situations. Their work often goes unnoticed, yet its impact is immeasurable.

This week is a chance to recognize their resilience, their professionalism, and their unwavering commitment to serving others. To every dispatcher and call-taker: thank you for being the voice people depend on when it matters most.

This week, we proudly recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and honor the dedicated professionals who serve as the vital link between our community and emergency responders.

Behind every call for help stands a calm, highly trained voice—working tirelessly to gather information, provide instructions, and coordinate the response that saves lives. These heroes are the Thin Gold Line: the unseen but essential lifeline of public safety.

To our Waushara County Telecommunicators—thank you for your dedication, your professionalism, and your unwavering commitment to protecting our community. Your service does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for all that you do.

📞💛 Happy National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week!
Please join us in celebrating and thanking our incredible dispatchers.

Poy Sippi fire and rescue would like to thank S&G Excavating LLC for going above and beyond assistance with plowing a road so we could get to a rescue call. With there help we were able to gain access to drive and get ambulance and rescue in the driveway. Waushara HWY Department helped us also on another call to plow a road so we could gain access. Thank you, the community is very great full for your help.

We are less than a week away from our annual spring chicken BBQ. We hope to see you all there, Saturday March 21st 4:00 pm. The department also has update on our fundraiser going on for the purchase of new electric Jaws. We sent a letter out to everyone in our fire area, asking for a tax deductible donation for the purchase of the new Jaws. We are a 501 c3. The response has been outstanding from the community and we are half way to our goal. That being said if there is anyone that is not in our fire area and would like to give a tax deductible donation please reach out. Our goal is to purchase the Jaws this year.

Congratulations Lisa! Thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty.
