We had a call tonight of several candidates for federal, state, and local office Amanda Morgan for Jackson County, WV, County Commisioner, Colin Savage for House, Mandy for WV, Lynette Miller Murray (follow and support them!) to discuss how we and other candidates are going to stand against the transmission lines going through our state.

Basics are this:

1. These power lines are not benefitting West Virginia.
2. Our bills are going to up.
3. Local people have no real voice in what happens with these lines.
4. Our land and property values go down as a result of these lines going up.

We believe that the Public Service Commission making the decision listen to the voice of the people, be accountable to people by being voted in by the people, prevent conflicts of interest, and that we get tax revenue that benefits our local economy so that West Virginians are not collateral damage for others' profit.

Postmaster Christina Howdershelt says the postal workers really enjoyed finding Newburg WV ROCKS. It's fun for everyone! Just take a pic, post on and then rehide or keep (they chose to rehide theirs). Thanks for participating Newburg Post Office!
