Tailored lighting for distinctive architecture
When standard products are not enough, bespoke solutions make the difference. For the Colonnades project in Belgium, WE-EF developed a customised version of the DAC240 ceiling luminaire, seamlessly combining functional illumination with architectural expression.
Featuring a large-scale canopy of almost 800 mm in diameter and integrated indirect lighting, the solution provides uniform illumination throughout the colonnades while highlighting the unique character of the architecture after dark.
The project demonstrates how technical expertise, customer-focused development and close collaboration can deliver a lighting solution that goes far beyond a standard product. The result is a durable, easy-to-maintain and sustainable installation designed to enhance both the space and the user experience.

Light that thinks ahead.
With the PLS400 Series featuring an integrated motion sensor, lighting automatically adapts to how a space is being used. When people are present, the right amount of light is delivered exactly where it is needed. When areas are unoccupied, lighting levels are reduced to improve efficiency and minimise energy consumption.
With Eco Step Dim® Connected, Motion Connected or Motion Standalone, the PLS400 offers maximum flexibility for a wide variety of applications.

Less energy. More intelligence. Better light.

With the opening of its new International Customs Facility, Tulsa International Airport introduces nonstop international travel for the first time, marking a new chapter for the city. The façade becomes a visual anchor for this transformation, using light to welcome travelers and celebrate Tulsa as a destination.

Working closely with the project team, we delivered a fully customized GOBO projection solution that transformed architectural surfaces into a canvas for artful, precise illumination. From concept development and projection mapping to final focusing and commissioning, our team provided hands-on, on-site support throughout the installation process to ensure every detail aligned with the design vision.

The project also featured color-changing luminaires integrated into the façade design. To achieve the desired wall washing effect, we adapted inground luminaires with custom-engineered mounting brackets, allowing them to be installed in a non-traditional application while delivering seamless, dynamic color across the building exterior.

Light shaping movement, perception and identity.

At the new Princeton University Art Museum, WE‑EF lighting helps guide visitors through and around the building while accentuating the museum’s distinctive architectural character. Using ETV140 inground luminaires, the lighting creates a precise, low-glare wallwashing effect that enhances orientation, visual comfort and the overall visitor experience.

A project demonstrating how light can become an integral part of architecture.

Great to see The Strand in Chelsea shining brighter after dark.
We-Ef Lighting is proud to have partnered with the City of Kingston and Buckford Illumination Group to deliver the lighting elements for this revitalised precinct, featuring FLC230 Profile Projectors, FLC210 and ETC330 luminaires.

The result is a more welcoming and vibrant space for the local community to enjoy after dark. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing the project to light.

Stellar // Marfa, our dark sky summit in Marfa, Texas, examined how responsible lighting design can enhance environments while protecting the natural beauty of the night sky. Through collaboration with lighting and landscape designers, DarkSky International advocates, astronomers, and the WE-EF team, we explored how expertise, experience, and shared passion can help preserve the integrity of the night sky.

We’re thrilled to debut our short film, Reclaiming the Dark. With this film we aim to raise awareness of dark-sky preservation and demonstrate how responsible lighting solutions can support both people and planet for generations to come.

Stellar // Marfa, our dark sky summit, was an extraordinary opportunity for designers to step away from theory and engage directly with the principles that define dark-sky friendly design. One of the biggest barriers to dark sky principles going mainstream is education and awareness. When was the last time you saw constellations in your night sky? How about the Milky Way?

At Stellar // Marfa, we explored how lighting can enhance environments while still preserving the integrity of the night sky. Featuring interviews with lighting and landscape designers, a member of , an astronomer, and our own team, we’ve put together a short film to help raise awareness of the importance of dark sky preservation.

The short film debuts at the end of June. Check out our sneak preview!

Reflecting on an inspiring week at Stellar // Marfa with , beneath one of the darkest skies in the world—an environment that truly underscores the importance of responsible lighting.

At WE-EF, dark-sky friendly design is in our DNA. Through thoughtful conversations and live demonstrations with our luminaires, we showcased how precise optical control, reduced glare, and minimized stray light can deliver impactful illumination while preserving the night sky. Our engineered solutions empower designers to achieve both performance and responsibility in every project.

Short-tailed shearwater chicks are making their first 15,000 km flight from Phillip Island in Australia to the Aleutian Islands near Alaska.

Please support the shearwater migration
• Turn your lights off in the evening
• Consider using wildlife sensitive lighting at home
• Drive slowly and be cautious on the roads

Flight times can vary – check Phillip Island Nature Parks Facebook events for exact ‘lights out’ dates.

If you find an injured shearwater,
please call the Wildlife Victoria hotline 24/7 on 03 8400 7300.
