Hello, I’m Valerie Alvin, and I am announcing my candidacy for a position on the Princeton School Districts Board of Education; Spring 2026. This year I’m on the ballot!

I was born and raised in Princeton and attended Princeton schools from kindergarten through graduation. My husband (Chris) and I purchased our home in Princeton back in 2008. Since then, we got married and have three sons, with two currently attending school and our youngest set to start in the fall.

Having grown up in this school district, lived here for 17 years (and counting), and raised children who attend Princeton schools, I have a deep passion for the school. My husband and I are actively involved in the community, and I firmly believe in the importance of a strong community in supporting a strong school. As a board member, my primary objective is to ensure the school’s success. Recognizing that everyone has their own perspectives, goals, and intentions, I believe that collaborative effort is essential to achieving success. I would bring accountability and structure to the board, which I believe are the fundamentals to strong ethics.

Subsequently, I relocated to Green Lake with Chris, now my husband. In 2008, we purchased our home in Princeton. Since then, we got married and have three sons, with two currently attending school and our youngest set to start in a year and a half.
