I would like people to know that as Mayor I’m here to support you and to do what is best for the future of Prineville. If we still had a timber industry I would be in full support of it no matter what the thoughts were about it. I support the data centers that are here because of what they have brought our community. They do not use the amount of water that people think. We’ve ensured as a city that there is water for businesses and residents. There are jobs in Prineville but we could always use more.

I would support manufacturing too, if a business was interested in Prineville. Luckily Lexington took over the Endura mill and will hire back the majority of people who were laid off. They’ve expressed interest in expanding also which will hire more people. I definitely support their efforts.

My job is to serve the people of Prineville, and I do that with conviction and pride in our community. I also am a free American who thinks on my own free will, just like the Constitution guarantees. I will question decisions of any politician and not apologize to anyone for it. I don’t just blindly follow anyone, just like people question me and I would expect they shouldn’t blindly follow me.

I support America, just like the founders intended it to be.

I’m extending an offer for anyone who wants to look through the recent economic analysis that was presented at council this past Tuesday and give some feedback on what lands would be the best option to bring into the UGB in the future and which ones are best suited for residential and industrial.

The entire report can be found on the city website. We have extended the public hearing on the analysis for one month to get feedback and public input on the record. I will not accept messages on social media, only email , written, or verbal communication.

Please feel free to share your thoughts about the future of Prineville

I do my best to interact with the community and listen to what people are saying. I give facts to the questions I am asked and will continue to do so. I represent over 11000 people in Prineville and take into account their voices.

I will continue to do so as long as I’m serving as Mayor.

As there is so much concern and discussion around data centers here locally, I wanted to share that the governor Tina Kotek has put a moratorium on new data centers. Until further notice there will be no new sites being built in Oregon until an analysis has been completed.

Good article.

Good article.

Do data centers use water? Yes. But not in the way most people think. Water is primarily used for cooling systems—to remove heat from servers that power everything we rely on daily. No cooling = no systems. ⸻ Here’s the part most people miss: Not all data centers use water the same way. There ...

Happy Friday everyone!!! I wanted to share some words today.
I want to thank two groups of people in our community that make Prineville what it is.

First I want to thank the staff at the city for the hard work put in to ensure that services are provided to all the citizens and that our infrastructure is running. Late nights when a water main goes out or answering questions at the front desk and everything in between. They run a lean crew and everyone is cross trained in other positions so there is less stress when someone is out. They also work hard to not spend money unnecessarily and that we get our return on investment. Prineville Police Department this include all of you and everyone in every department.

Next I want to thank the residents of Prineville for always staying engaged through good times and times of concern. I do my best to listen to every concern, every comment, every phone call, every email, and everyone I talk to daily on the streets or in the store. It tells me that we have a community that cares about the future of Prineville and that they want to preserve our way of life. I will never forget that we are a timber, farming, and ranching community and the Cowboy Capital of Oregon. Times may change and technology definitely changes, but we are still Prineville.

I want to share this pdf about the Barnes Butte Recreational Area and the resolution that directed staff to create a master plan. It is a long read but has information about the direction of the Barnes Butte area and plans for the future.

Historically low snowpacks and forecasts for record-breaking summer heat don’t paint a pretty picture for city water supplies. But Prineville leaders can rest easier than others, thanks to realizing a […]
