My name is Paola Candanoza, and I humbly ask for your vote. As a proud product of Progreso ISD, I have a deep love for our community and its people. I am a former educator, a successful businesswoman, and a dedicated public servant. As a devoted mother of three beautiful children, I understand the importance of putting our students first. With the knowledge, experience, and heart needed to strengthen our schools, I am committed to making a meaningful impact on our district.

Good morning, my beautiful people of Progreso!

I would like to invite each and every one of you to my Meet the Candidate Event. I am one of the most hardworking and dedicated individuals you will meet. I am a dedicated team player who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the success of every task! I am a product of Progreso, raised, educated, and have contributed as an educator to our city’s school system. I am asking for an opportunity to do so much more for our beautiful people and city whom I love. This community has been the heart of my personal and professional journey and I am deeply committed to its growth and wellbeing.

I am excited to announce my "Meet the Candidate Event" happening on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Flores Event Venue in Progreso, Texas at 5:30 pm. There will be games and refreshments for everyone. It would be an honor if you could join me.

Buenos dias mi gente bonita de Progreso,

Me gustaria decirles un poco sobre mi para la gente que no me conoce. Soy hija de la señora, Tomasita Hernandez y nieta de Juan y Olvido Hernandez, quienes tienen un gran legado de trabajo arduo, honestidad e integridad en Progreso. Mi madre fue madre soltera de dos hijos pero supo criarnos con mucha dignidad, valores y respeto. Mi madre siempre nos inculco a ser personas honestas, trabajdoras y de gran corazon. Ella nos explico la importancia de obtener una carrera universitaria y se aseguro de que lo lograramos.

E vivido toda mi vida en Progreso, Texas y tengo un gran amor por mi gente y mi comunidad. Estudie en el distrito de Progreso desde prekinder hasta mi graduacion de high school en el 2002. Durante mis dias en la secundaria siempre tome puestos de liderasgo en muchas organizaciones, es algo que siempre me apaciono.

Estudie para maestra en UTPA y fui maestra por 11 años antes de obtener mi maestria de consejera en Lamar University. Fue entonces que empeze a trabajar como consejera en Progreso Elementary por 5 años. Ahora me dedico a mis negocios con mi esposo. Somos dueños de una compañia de construccion muy exitosa y tenemos dos salones de eventos igualmente exitosos.

Ahora me gustaria tener la oportunidad de servir a mi comunidad dando mi servicio en la mesa directiva de Progreso. Si soy electa, me gustaria apoyar a las maestras y directoras para que puedan lograr su maximum potencial y asi los niños de Progreso sean los beneficiados. Se que esto solo sera posible trabajando en equipo con todos los miembros de la mesa directiva y estoy segura que asi sera.

Con Dios por delante, humildemente les pido su voto y apoyo.
