McGraw for Magistrate - Oldham County District 2

McGraw for Magistrate - Oldham County District 2 Randall (Randy) McGraw - Running for Oldham County Magistrate, District 2. Proud husband of 20 years, father to three kids (17, 15, and 11).

Committed to responsible leadership, fiscal accountability, and keeping Oldham County the best place in Kentucky to live, work, and raise a family. Retired business executive with decades of leadership across startups, small/medium enterprises, and Fortune 500 companies. I've navigated fast-growing lines of business, shifting market dynamics, and P&L/budget responsibilities of every scale — buildi

ng a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in diverse environments. After retiring from full-time business, I'm now running for Oldham County Magistrate, District 2 — bringing that same proven experience to serve our community responsibly and effectively. My family and I moved here 14 years ago for the outstanding schools, but we quickly discovered what truly makes Oldham County special: the strong, supportive communities that surround them. For 7–8 years, I volunteered extensively with Oldham County Youth Football (coaching and serving on the board). For the past 5 years, I've coached in our school system, and since retirement, I've substituted as needed at North Oldham High School. I'm committed to fiscal accountability, practical solutions, and keeping Oldham County the benchmark for Kentucky. Let's work together to protect and strengthen our future.

Congratulations Robert Lane for Magistrate-Oldham County Fiscal Court-District 2 !

Truly meant it today in that no matter the outcome, Lane, Theiss or myself.. that seat would be in good hands. I am blessed to have gotten to know those guys through this process.

Truly great experience. I met a lot of wonderful people. I learned a tremendous amount, which is what I thoroughly enjoy.

It was very humbling to have folks that didn’t know me from anyone three months ago show so much support and lend a hand in my efforts. I truly appreciate it.

Also big time congratulations to Elect Rob Houchens for his win on the Judge Executive front. He has put in the work since before September and I am sure that won’t stop.

Now back to spending way too much time on football….

-Randy

It’s almost time… some of my poll workers geared up and getting ready to go tomorrow!

Yet another great outcome of putting myself out there, win or lose, a bunch of young people (players, students, friends of my kids) asked all kinds of questions. What’s a magistrate? What’s a judge executive? Why did you decide to do this? And many other questions about all the various elections. No matter your stance, your side, etc the more people that educate themselves and get involved (even just voting) the better imo.

That being said, I would be very appreciative and humbled to get your vote tomorrow. Let’s bring a new perspective and a willingness to put in the work on the fiscal court!

Practical. Principled. Collaborative. Proven.

Great afternoon supporting the Humane Society Of Oldham County at their annual Fashion and Furiends Fundraiser.

Pretty great experience being a model and walking that runway. I didn’t quite have that on my ‘things I will do in 2026’ (or ever) bingo card.

I also may or may not have submitted an application for one of the dogs they had in attendance.

It was a good way to step away from the door knocking and campaigning over last several weeks.

Looking forward to Tuesday, would absolutely love and be humbled by your vote… win or lose I am better for this process regardless.

Get out to vote!!

What a great 3 days working the early polling locations (101 ft outside for good measure)!

Turnout seemed great across the three days, even w the storms today.

If you haven’t voted yet, get prepared for Tuesday and check out the links in my comment section of the original post below.

I appreciate everyone’s support up to this point. PLEASE keep that word of mouth going, need a great Tuesday!!

We are coming down the homestretch. I want to sincerely thank all the patient and friendly neighbors who have answered my door knocks over the past several weeks. I truly appreciate the conversations and the insights you’ve shared.

Early voting starts this Thursday at the community center in Buckner, and the big day is Tuesday, May 19th!

As you prepare to head to the polls, I encourage you to ask yourself three questions (relative to any candidate):

1. Do you know the name, or do you know the candidate? Names don’t make decisions—the people we elect do.

2. Does the candidate have the right background? Our county is growing. We need leaders equipped with a fresh perspective on new challenges, the ability to engage the community, and proven fiscal responsibility at scale.

3. Is the candidate ready to work for you? Serving on the Fiscal Court takes effort and accessibility—it’s a role that requires work well beyond two Tuesdays a month.

Local elections matter. The Judge Executive and Magistrate races will determine our county's direction. I’ve included links in the comments to recent candidate coverage to help with your "homework."

If you are undecided in District 2, please reach out. DM me or text me at 502-608-8060. I would love to grab a cup of coffee and have a conversation.

Let’s work. Vote McGRAW on May 19th.

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there! You make it all happen!

Final day of National Corrections Officers week and wanted to give a quick shout out to Jeff Tindall Oldham County Jailer and his entire staff.

Win, lose or draw (that would be wild) on this election it has provided me many great experiences and opportunities to meet, see and talk to so many people. A few weeks back I had the chance to tour the facility and meet many of the deputies and others that make the facility run. It was super educational and eye opening. It has been one of the best things to come from this experience.

You can debate who should or shouldn’t be in the jail but you can’t debate the extremely high level of care and professionalism by which the facility is run.

I appreciate that the correctional officers at this facility, the KSP facilities and others wake up every day praying for the best but prepared for the worst. Thanks for all your work.
