Rest in peace, my friend 🤍

Cedric Huntley leaves behind a significant mark in Providence through his commitment to peace and nonviolence.

As the former director of the Nonviolence Institute and a tireless advocate in our community, Cedric’s legacy of compassion, dedication and transformative impact will continue to inspire us all.

We extend our sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones.

You will be missed Mr. Ced.

: I’ve left the business! So thankful for my experience in the Providence news market 🎤 With that being said, I’m now working as Deputy Chief of Staff for Mayor Polisena Jr. in Johnston, RI.

From an itty-bitty assignment desk (who had never been in a newsroom until 2020) to on-air reporting
This job has meant so much to me over the last 2+ years—

Through protests, a pandemic, fires, standoffs, murders you name it. Thank you, Southern New England, for allowing me into your homes and trusting me to tell your stories.

Today is my last day at ABC6, and I am forever grateful for this crazy opportunity. I've decided to say goodbye to the job that made me so fulfilled for so many years, but feel great leaving knowing how much I've grown, and cherishing the friends that I've made along the way. Thanks again, RI. I won't be going too far 😇

Meet Providence Police Department’s K-9 Vader:

Vader was searching on Horace Street when he sniffed out kilo wrappers in a garbage can. The wrappers possibly had fentanyl residue on it.

His handler noticed him acting strange and gave him Narcan. He was taken to the vet, but was back at work this morning! ABC6 News
