Congenital Cytomegalovirus (CMV) - while you may not have heard of it - 1 out of 200 babies will be born with this infection. Of those, 1 out of 5 can have birth defects other long-term health problems like hearing loss because of it. Protect yourself during pregnancy by washing your hands after diaper changes, kissing on the cheek/head instead of the lips and by not sharing food, utensils or cups.
