Feeling soft nd easily moved to tears today. Being held by both gratitude of the known and fear of the unknown ~ such great men. Such incredible acts. I am always learning from such great people. Plz take your time to learn more about John Lewis + C. T. Vivian

Original caption:

2 leaders. 2 heroes. 2 freedom riders. 2 civil rights legends. 2 pioneers. Gone in one day. We have gained 2 more good ancestors. ⁣

We have to tell their stories. That's how we stay alive in this place meant to cause harm to so many of us. That's how new leaders are raised.⁣

Because of them, we can ✊🏽✊🏽⁣

They say people die two deaths.⁣
⠀⁣
One when they initially pass away.⁣
⠀⁣
The other the last time someone says their name.⁣
⠀⁣
Well, Reverend CT Vivian and Rep. John Lewis, we will make sure that you never see the second.⁣
⠀⁣
We will continue to say your names and we’ll be sure to make good trouble, while doing so. ⁣

They have done their parts and run their race. How will we continue their legacy?⁣

Forever grateful for all they did for us! ⁣
Thank you!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽⁣
Rest In Power Kings🕊✨🕊✨⁣

・・・⁣
We lost 2 GIANTS of The Movement...the soul and conscious of this sunken place. But they will guide us from the other side of the veil. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
