There is a fire NW of Pullman near Albion. Whitcom 9-1-1 is aware and has dispatched first responders.

Please avoid the area if at all possible so the firefighters can do their work.

The Lentil Festival always feels a little like the beginning of a new year in Pullman. The students return, school begins, our streets fill up again and the whole community seems to come back to life.

I was proud to volunteer yesterday and even had the chance to help stir 500 gallons of lentil chili!

As this new season begins, I am filled with hope for Pullman. I am excited about the possibilities ahead for our downtown, our businesses, our neighborhoods and the people who call this community home. I am grateful to be here, honored to serve and looking forward to listening, learning and working together in the year ahead.
