We have received comments from concerned drivers about instances of runners on MCBQ's roads not wearing glow belts or vests during periods of low visibility. Some have reported near misses. In order to consider the safety of runners/walkers and drivers, please adhere to the base rules regarding the use of reflective gear:
Glow belts or vests are required during the hours of 4 p.m. through 8 a.m., and during periods of reduced visibility (rain, fog, snow) at Marine Corps Base Quantico.

The tenant’s local Military Housing Office will issue a notice to each tenant 2-3 weeks in advance of the scheduled inspection. The notification will communicate the inspection dates, information regarding how the inspection will be conducted and points of contact should tenants have questions or need to reschedule. The inspectors will also provide tenants with a 48-hour reminder prior to inspection via a door hanger on their home.

It would be nice to know if they are working to restore power! At about 12 hours without power and I am sure my food in my fridge is bad by now and my house is losing temp!
If the McHugh Woods Community Center has power can you open it up for families on base without power? I will sign for the keys, put down a deposit, clean up after everyone leaves, etc.
I was there 06-09 and absolutely loved it. My kids were young, they loved the events, going swimming and playing at the Community Center while I worked out. We will be back this summer, fingers crossed that we get to be in on-base housing but nonetheless, I will definitely be excited to be back at Quantico! 😃
MCBQ Halloween Trick-or-Treating Hours with safety guidelines to minimize the spread of COVID-19
Oct. 31, 6 - 9 p.m.
*Socially distanced, outdoor trick-or-treating is authorized. Minimize the handling of candy, i.e. provide individually wrapped goodie bags; distribute candy at the END of a DRIVEWAY or EDGE of a YARD - not at a porch/doorway.
*If a service member or family member are COVID positive, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the 14-day quarantine period, they shall not participate in any "in-person" Halloween festivities and shall not handle or give out candy.
*All participants will wear reflective material and carry a flashlight to ensure proper visibility.
*All drivers shall adhere to speed limits and watch for trick-or-treaters, especially within the housing areas.
*PROPER FACE MASKS SHALL BE WORN when social distancing cannot be maintained and are highly encouraged for the duration of trick-or-treating hours. *A costume mask is not a substitute for a cloth mask. A costume mask should not be used as a protective COVID-19 mask, unless it is made of two or more layers o breathable fabric that covers the mouth and nose and does not leave gaps around the face. Do not wear a costume mask over a protective cloth mask if the mask makes it hard to breath.
*During activities where screaming will likely occur, greater distancing is advised.
*Any off-base Halloween activities where adequate social distancing cannot be met should be avoided to reduce the likelihood of spreading the virus that causes COVID-19 to the MCINCR-MCBQ population.
**Have fun and remember....parents should get first dibs on all their favorite candies in order for the children not to be overwhelmed with all the choices. What is your favorite Halloween treat?

We moved to quantico in august of 2020. Since then we’ve placed repeated maintenance requests regarding the water. It is constantly turning a yellowish-brown. Given we have multiple special needs kids, one with a gtube and GI issues, we have a lot of concern with this issue. continues to brush us off and fail to rectify the issue. Here’s hoping that by putting them on blast on social media, someone will get us potable water.
