Mt. Pleasant community folks probably in front of the Glen Julia Methodist Church about 1900. The two little girls are my grandmother, Irma Bevis (age 3) and her sister Dora Bevis (age 5). I believe the woman to their left wearing the cape is Bessie Bly. Only about four feet tall and said to have broken her back (likely scoliosis) she was an orphan who boarded for many years with Henry and Ida Shepard. My great uncle, Ed Bevis, is the 5th man from right on back row. Wish I could identify more people. My Aunt Kathleen identified two more men on the back row, third from right is Ralph McPhaul and sixth from right is Bud Hubbard. Kneeling at far right on front row is my grandfather, Charles Bevis. He had recently become a widower and was now a single father to the little girls Irma and Dora and an infant Ray (not pictured).
