In the business of saving lives and property The Racine VFD was founded in 1973, our first truck was a 1941 American LaFrance.

Our old station is on route 94 which houses Southern heating and cooling. We moved to
current location in 1998 because we had out grown the old building. We protect 172
square miles within Boone Co.

Update- 9:30 road is open. Does not mean they are good. But rt. 94 in the area of lens creek mountain is open.

February 3rd at 8:50-

Due to an mutiple accidents on the Kan. County side of Lens creek road the decision has been made to shut down the mountain until DOH can salt and scrape the road and the accidents can be cleared up. We will update as we get information.

On the evening of Nov. 10th the town of Whitesville lost a landmark in the Armstrong Funeral Home. Fire departments from Whitesville, Racine, Van, Morrisvale, Trap Hill, Coal City, Coal River, and more all battled the flames for hours. Attached are photos please keep the owners of the funeral home in your thoughts.
