In the business of saving lives and property The Racine VFD was founded in 1973, our first truck was a 1941 American LaFrance.

Our old station is on route 94 which houses Southern heating and cooling. We moved to
current location in 1998 because we had out grown the old building. We protect 172
square miles within Boone Co.

If you are coming this way and feel like being cleaning supplies for the flood victims we will be here all day taking up donations for that as well.

Over night some of our fellow Boone countians was deeply affected by flash flooding and it has either displaced them or left them with up to a foot of water in their homes. While they haven’t started cleaning up yet we at the Racine VFD are calling on our community to help the Van/Wharton area with what they might need like we have been helped so many times in the past.

We will start collecting these item today Tuesday June 23rd at 5pm at the fire house. You can pull to the bays nearest the flag pole if you don’t want to get out. We will be accepting donations everyday this week and next week. Plans will be made to get them where they need to go late next week.

Saturday is the benefit hotdog sale for lil Penelope that would be a great time to drop off donations.
