On May 16th, the NC AANHPI Unity Collective hosted a Career Fair in partnership with the Margin of Victory Empowerment Foundation (Move NC). We brought together AANHPI professionals from a wide range of fields, including science, education, law, medicine, business, and public service, to inspire young people, share their experiences, and highlight the many ways our community contributes to society.
This event was a space for young people to share their goals, interests, and aspirations, and for our community to listen and guide them toward the paths they wish to pursue.
As we close out this month, we reflect with gratitude on all that we have accomplished, from our Career Fair on May 16th to our Wake County Proclamation, to the Asian Art Showcase at the Legislative Building, and the reception at the Governor's Mansion. Thank you to all who participated and helped make the events a success. We look forward to continuing this work in the months ahead.

As AANHPI Heritage Month comes to a close, the NC AANHPI Unity Collective was honored to attend a reception hosted by Governor Josh Stein and First Lady Anna Stein at the North Carolina Executive Mansion in celebration of AANHPI Heritage Month. It was an honor to be included and a pleasure to connect with fellow AANHPI community members throughout the evening.
We also wish our founding member, Dr. Grace L Galloway, a speedy recovery.

This year in May, the NC AANHPI Unity Collective has decided to celebrate our heritage month in a different way. Throughout the month, we will offer a variety of programs and events aimed at supporting and empowering our youth, providing them with opportunities to grow, learn, and succeed.
The AANHPI Unity Collective (AANHPI), The Margin of Victory Empowerment Foundation (MOVE Foundation),and Youth Leaders are working together to organize a Career Fair in celebration of AAPI Heritage Month. We plan to invite AAPI professionals from a wide range of fields, including science, education, law, medicine, business, and public service—to share their experiences, inspire young people, and highlight the many ways our community contributes to society.
This event is not just for high school /college students, it is a space for young people to share their goals, interests, and aspirations. We want to listen, understand their needs, and guide them toward the paths they wish to pursue.
With the help of experienced professionals from various fields, we are bringing together mentors who can inspire and support these bright young minds, as well as engage with adults in the community.

Today, Aanhpi Unity Collective hosted our Student Visit to the North Carolina General Assembly. Students had the opportunity to tour the General Assembly, step inside the historic chamber where live legislative sessions take place, and learn firsthand about how state government works from Representative Maria Cervania. Student involvement is essential for driving meaningful change in our communities. Through programs like AANHPI Unity Collective, students are provided with pathways to engage directly in impactful work. These opportunities include participating in voting initiatives, canvassing, internships, and legislative efforts, allowing them to actively contribute to community development and civic engagement.
A special thank you to Representative Maria Cervania for taking the time to meet with our students, share insights about her legislative work, and answer thoughtful questions about civic engagement and leadership. Thank you as well to all the students who attended and engaged in thoughtful discussion.
Please continue to follow our page for upcoming events. If you’re interested in bringing your group, feel free to reach out to us. Kanwal Naiyar
