As we close out another impactful month, we pause to reflect on the power of service, connection, and community. 💙

This month, the Raleigh Midtown Rotary Club continued its mission of “Service Above Self” bringing together leaders, changemakers, and neighbors committed to making a difference right here in our community and beyond.

From meaningful conversations at our weekly meetings to hands-on service and growing partnerships, every moment has been a step forward.

We’re also proud to share that members of our club leadership recently attended Carolina PETS (President-Elect Training Seminar) in preparation for the upcoming Rotary year. It was an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with Rotary leaders from across the region, and we’re bringing that energy, knowledge, and vision back to our club as we prepare for an even stronger future.

👏🏾 A huge thank you to our members, partners, and supporters who continue to show up, give back, and lead with purpose.

The work continues, and we’re just getting started. Exciting things are ahead in the coming months!

Here's a Article written about a Presentation by some Duke Students and Teachers Assistants delivered to Raleigh Midtown Rotary Club. It highlights Clean Shelter A Non-profit located in Germany. We hope you enjoy the Article.

Clean Shelter Article: A Sparkling Presentation

Imagine a ray of hope unexpectedly entering your life, purely by coincidence. While some might call this grandstanding, it’s often said, “If the shoe fits, wear it.” A month and a half ago, a group of students walked into a small Rotary Club meeting and delivered an unprecedented presentation, one that resonated deeply with everyone present.
This presentation was a tapestry of emotions, woven with themes of collaboration, compassion, and the drive to assist those in need. The students rolled up their sleeves, demonstrating innovation in the face of complex challenges while expressing a sincere desire to help others. If there were ever a perfect embodiment of the phrase “Service Above Self,” this was it. To truly appreciate the impact of this presentation, you would need to invite these students to your club or nonprofit, whether in person or through a digital format. They’re eager to share how Clean Shelter is changing the world through logistics, advocacy, communication, and dedicated grassroots efforts.
Clean Shelter, a remarkable nonprofit founded in Germany by two visionary women, embodies a strong desire to create a better world. They have already established connections with Rotary in Germany and are eager to forge similar partnerships in the USA. However, this article isn’t merely about telling their story; it’s about piquing your interest and guiding you to their narrative in an organic way.
The best way to experience their journey is through the voices of the students and the founders, Seba and Tom. By attending a local Rotary Club or nonprofit gathering, you’ll feel their energy, share in their optimism for the future, and recognize the significance of meaningful work, all while basking in a few rays of hope. This is your chance to witness a truly sparkling presentation.

If you would like a direct connection to the students from Duke University who deliver this inspiring presentation, please reach out to the Raleigh Midtown Rotary Club. They would be delighted to connect you.

As we close out Black History Month, we pause to reflect on the leaders, innovators, and changemakers whose legacy continues to inspire our work in service and community impact.
Now, as we step into the promise of spring, we’re excited about new growth, not just in nature, but in our community 🌿
At our upcoming meeting, we’re honored to welcome a guest from Cullen and Whitley, who will share about the incredible work happening at the Highland United Methodist Church Community Garden. This initiative is helping cultivate more than fresh produce. It’s cultivating connection, sustainability, and service right here in Raleigh.
Even more exciting, this meeting will help us officially launch our Rotary Seed Project, planting the seeds (literally and figuratively!) for continued community impact this spring.
We’re also proud of the service we’ve already completed this month. In February, our club partnered with the amazing students of Enloe Highschool Interact Club to support their Valentine’s Day Candy Grams Project, helping spread kindness and raise funds for their initiatives. It’s always inspiring to support the next generation of leaders.
From honoring history to planting for the future this is what Rotary is all about.
If you’re interested in community service, leadership, and meaningful connections, we’d love to have you join us at an upcoming meeting!

Snowy days are beautiful… but safety comes first! ❤️

As our community experiences this winter storm, we encourage everyone to slow down, stay home if possible, and take a few simple steps to stay safe and warm.

🌨️ Snow Storm Safety Tips

✔️ Avoid unnecessary travel
✔️ Keep phones charged + flashlights ready
✔️ Layer clothing & use blankets to conserve heat
✔️ Check on neighbors, seniors, and pets
✔️ Stock water, snacks, and essential supplies
✔️ Clear walkways carefully to prevent slips and falls

Moments like this remind us how important community really is. Rotary is all about neighbors helping neighbors, and we’re grateful to serve alongside you.

🌟 Raleigh Midtown Rotary – Service in Action! 🌟

Our most recent meeting was truly impactful. We were honored to hear from representatives of Clean Shelter who are also students and teaching assistants from Duke University, They shared powerful insights into their humanitarian efforts in Gaza. They invited Rotary clubs across our district to help spread the word and even offered to speak with other clubs throughout the district, an incredible opportunity for collaboration and global service.

In the spirit of service, members of Raleigh Midtown Rotary Club also participated in the annual District MLK Package Event, where volunteers came together to pack nearly 40,000 meals for our neighbors right here in Wake County. 💙

📅 Looking Ahead:
Join us on February 2 at 6:30 PM at Highland United Methodist Church as we roll up our sleeves for hands-on community projects. Our primary focus will be creating dog toys to support Vets to Vets United—supporting those who have served, one paw at a time. 🐾

As we close out another meaningful year, the Raleigh Midtown Rotary Club is taking a moment to reflect with gratitude and pride. 💙
Over the past year, we’ve strengthened friendships, supported impactful community service projects, and lived out the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self.

We were especially grateful to spend our final moments of the year together in person working on community service initiatives and reflecting on all that we’ve accomplished, while looking ahead with excitement and optimism for what 2026 will bring.

As we welcome the New Year, we wish our members, partners, and community a prosperous, healthy, and safe Happy New Year. We look forward to continuing to serve, grow, and make a positive impact together in 2026.

✨ Cheers to a new year of service and opportunity! ✨
