North Carolina Consumers Council

North Carolina Consumers Council 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization promoting consumer awareness, consumer education, and consumer protection across North Carolina and beyond.
NCCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization promoting consumer education, consumer awareness and consumer protection in North Carolina and beyond. Whether you need help with a specific issue or just want some general consumer advice, send us a message and we'll do our best to help you out!

It all started with a back patio get together, a 1966 lemon MG sedan and a repossessed trailer. Then on September 26, 1967, the North Carolina Consumers Council (NCCC) was born. Later on March 7, 1968, a group of twenty-five consumers disappointed by the lack of consumer representation in North Carolina officially incorporated the North Carolina Consumers Council, a group dedicated to promoting consumer awareness, consumer education and consumer protection in North Carolina and beyond. That patio is gone, the car was recycled several times over, and the trailer disappeared on the back of a truck. But we’re still here more than forty-five years later. Formed during a tumultuous time in United States history, NCCC was one of the first groups of its kind, the 28th in the nation, and the first such group in North Carolina. It began as a grassroots group with a loyal following that still endures to this day. Though technologies have changed throughout the years, our drive and passion have not faltered. If anything, we are even more passionate today than ever before. We continue to be your consumer voice in North Carolina and will continue to do so for decades to come.

Mission: NCCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization promoting consumer education, consumer awareness and consumer protection in North Carolina and beyond.
