The North Carolina Consumers Council is a fee-based membership organization. We collect membership fees to support our efforts in consumer advocacy and to develop and maintain reference sources for you, the member.
We provide you free consumer resources and consumer assistance if you request it, even if you are not a member.
NCCC members are eligible to join Coastal Federal Credit Union, Members Credit Union, Premier Federal Credit Union, Lorillard Federal Credit Union, Carolina Federal Credit Union, Freedom Federal Credit Union and Carolina Postal Credit Union. NCCC is not a credit union. We are, however, a gateway for you to join one, as you must have something in common with other credit union members, be it geographical, religious, work-related or through membership in a group, before you can join.
NCCC publishes member newsletters monthly. Members who prefer paper copies may request the change at any time to apply to future newsletters.
Members may enroll for the Auto Recall Alert Service, a free service alerting the member to recalls and defect investigations for up to three vehicles.
Members may receive complimentary registration for the North Carolina and national Do Not Call Registry provided by the Federal Trade Commission and for several marketing mail, direct mail and email opt-out preference services.
Members receive special discounts from businesses nationwide via the Member Discount Program.
Members may utilize the Gripe Vine, a one-stop member-only complaint filing service.
