Ramsey OEM Coordinator Jake Englishman would like to thank everyone who came out to support the recent blood drive hosted by the Ramsey Office of Emergency Management and Ramsey OEM CERT Division and facilitated by the New York Blood Center.

A few months ago, Ramsey OEM was approached by CERT member Sarah Horn, who advocated for bringing a blood drive right here to our own community. At a time when blood centers across the nation have experienced critically low supplies, the need for donors has never been more important.

As Ramsey has shown time and time again, when there is a need, our community comes together.

Through the generosity of our donors, the blood collected during this drive has the potential to help save more than 200 lives.

Thank you to everyone who donated, to our community for once again answering the call, and to the Ramsey VFW for its support and hospitality in helping make this important mission possible.

Ramsey continues to come out strong and pull together when our neighbors need us most. It is truly a reflection of what makes our community special- neighbors helping neighbors.
