Evelyn's Trees

Evelyn's Trees I'm located in Maine, but it doesn't stop me in my love of tropical fruit trees! I hope that you'll be able to find the tree you are looking for with me!

I started growing my first lemon from seed in 2014, and then I just kept growing, collecting more seeds and expanding to oranges, pomegranate or papaya and loads of figs. I'm selling yet, but it will come soon. Until then, I hope that you'll enjoy knowing about these wonderful trees! :)

Dipali Dutta says the view from her Ramblewood Court home isn't one she's crazy about. Across the street? A forest of fig tress, complete with their own watering system. The plants canvass the lawn front and back, as well as the driveway and the curb.

Custom embossed stainless steel labels went live today!

Listed for sale are high quality custom embossed stainless steel tags. I bought an embossing machine for my own large fruit tree collection and for my orchard clients who were tired of looking at paper maps and replacing cheap quality tags every year or two. These tags are durable, long lasting and....

So last fall upon starting taking care of the orchard i found a number of trees that had been badly girdled in the past. The trees hadn't received much attention in the first 5 years of life, and these are the most critical years for protection from voles and establishing the shape of your tree. Those that could be repaired, were bridge grafted. Those that could not were cut off and left. This spring I saw some good things! Root suckers. Some produced none or very weak ones and will be removed. Those with strong suckers I cut low to ground and selected one to become the new tree. Imagine a young tree with 5-7 year old root system. It will be grafted in a season or two and fruit right away, a big time saver. Here are some pics of ones I've selected to keep so far... :) the last one is a year or two old and will be grafted next year.
