May is Mental Health Awareness Month šŸ¤

Sometimes ā€œdetoxingā€ your life isn’t about perfection it’s about taking an honest look at the people, habits, environments, or thoughts that drain your peace and replacing them with things that support your wellbeing.

Protecting your mental health can look like setting boundaries, creating healthier routines, limiting negativity, asking for help, or giving yourself permission to let go of what no longer feels healthy for you.

Healing isn’t always easy, but you deserve a life that feels safe, supportive, and sustainable. 🌿

Safe HelpRoom is a confidential online group chat service through Safe Helpline that allows survivors of sexual assault in the military to connect, support one another, and share in a secure, moderated environment.

Your safety and privacy are the top priorities. Safe HelpRoom was designed so participants remain completely anonymous, and all discussions are confidential. Each session includes a moderator who can provide support and referrals, along with a reviewer who helps ensure the space remains respectful and focused on survivors’ needs.

If you or someone you know could benefit from support, check out these upcoming sessions at SafeHelpRoom.org:

• Special Men’s Session – May Session 3

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Call to Freedom for providing an educational session to our base members on the definition and warning signs of human trafficking. The act of spreading red sand was a touching tribute to the victims who often fall through the cracks.

As Denim Week wraps up, the momentum keeps going!

Showing up for survivors can look like so many things. It can mean listening, learning, speaking up, or simply being there.

We must recognize that this is a systemic issue that requires all of us. Every action, big or small, helps create a more supportive and respectful world.

This week is just the beginning. Let’s keep showing up for each other, for our communities, and for lasting change.

Denim Week continues, and today is all about community. Real change happens when we come together.

Preventing sexual violence is not one person’s responsibility. Advocates, educators, leaders, friends, and neighbors all play a role in creating spaces where people feel safe, respected, and supported.

Every conversation, every action, and every moment of support matters. Together, we’re building something stronger.

Today, we honor Denim Day.

What began as a moment of protest in 1999 grew into a global movement that brings people together to stand with survivors and promote respect.

We must recognize injustice and make our voices heard, just as the women of the Italian Parliament did by wearing jeans on the steps of the Supreme Court.

Wearing denim today is a simple but powerful way to show support, spark conversations, and be part of something bigger. Across the country and right here in our communities, people are showing up in solidarity.

Today and every day, we uplift survivors and stand together.

It’s Denim Week, and today we’re redefining the narrative. Together, we have the power to cultivate a culture grounded in respect, empathy, and understanding.

When we amplify survivor voices and challenge harmful norms, we contribute to a world where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported.

Small shifts in our communication, listening, and response can drive significant change.

Let’s continue working toward a world rooted in respect and free of sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.

Today marks the beginning of Denim Week 2026, a week-long campaign aimed at empowering survivors, strengthening community bonds, and inspiring collective action.

We will initiate this week by highlighting the vital role of consent in all interactions. Consent is a voluntary, informed, and reversible agreement that respects the autonomy of all individuals.

It is crucial to acknowledge that silence or pressure cannot be considered consent. Every person has the inherent right to control their own body.

By prioritizing consent, we foster relationships and communities that promote mutual respect, trust, and safety.

Let us commence Denim Week by celebrating the values of respect and empathy.
