Reading Open Land Trust The Reading Open Land Trust (ROLT) is a private nonprofit land trust. Its mission is to preserve Reading's open spaces for future generations.

ROLT's purpose is to preserve and maintain Reading's open space in its natural state. ROLT also supports education in the fields of ecology, conservation and land use planning. Since its founding in 1979, ROLT has acquired more than 70 acres of open land in Reading. For more information, contact [email protected].

Reading Open Land Trust is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year! WIth over 70 acres of land under its care, spanning 11 properties in Reading, ROLT safeguards these precious spaces, ensuring their preservation. It has become part of the fabric of our local community, collaborating with various groups across town to promote the long-term health of our open lands.

We hope you might honor this milestone year with a contribution. A gift of any size will help to offset the costs of maintaining these properties and, potentially, allowing ROLT to purchase new spaces for protection when donation isn't possible.

The Reading Open Land Trust, Inc. (ROLT) was founded in 1979 by a group of private citizens motivated by the conviction that conservation of our natural resources must be a concern for all citizens and not solely dependent on government action and tax revenues.
