💙🖤 Another heartbreaking loss for the law enforcement community.

My heart goes out to the family, friends, and fellow officers of the Philadelphia Police Department.

I’m heartbroken, and I’m angry. Another life taken by someone who had absolutely no right to take it.

The Berks County Sheriff’s Office stands with the Philadelphia Police Department during this incredibly difficult time. Please keep everyone affected by this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers. 💙🖤

🚨 SCAM WARNING - PLEASE SHARE 🚨 📢

The Berks County Sheriff’s Office will NEVER call you and ask you to pay money.

You did NOT miss federal jury duty.
There is NOT a warrant for your arrest.
You do NOT need to pay money to avoid being arrested.

Do not answer calls from numbers you don’t recognize.
If you do answer, HANG UP.

❌ Do not give them personal information.
❌ Do not go to your bank and withdraw money.
❌ Do not purchase gift cards.
❌ Do not send money through Venmo, Cash App, Bitcoin, or any other payment method.

These scammers can sound very convincing. They may already have some of your personal information, including your name, address, or other details. That does not mean the call is legitimate. They may also use the names of real employees, spoof legitimate phone numbers, and pressure you by saying you will be arrested if you hang up.

HANG UP!!!!!

Please talk to your parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors about this. Do not let these scammers take another person’s money.
