South Redford Schools offers a wide range of opportunities for innovative learning at all grade levels. Our quality education begins with a tuition-free full-time preschool program. The “Success for All” reading program in preschool through 5th grade provides reading instruction targeted to each child’s needs and has proven results for increasing reading proficiency. The innovative Next Generation

Classrooms in each school provide a setting for personalized targeted instruction as well as collaborative learning. We’ve got everything you need to know in one place, including the school supply list and important information about Pierce’s new clear backpack procedure.

🎒 Please note: Backpacks, purses, and bags of any kind will not be allowed in classrooms. Students may bring a clear, transparent backpack into the building. Lockers will be issued to all students, and bags are optional.

📚 Be sure to review the full supply list and clear bag guidelines. Additional supply requests may also be made by individual teachers.

🎉 A few weeks ago, our Addams Elementary students celebrated the final day of Summer Discovery! ☀️🦅

After weeks of learning, growth, and fun, students wrapped up the program with a special day full of activities, smiles, and memories with friends. It was the perfect way to celebrate an incredible summer!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Summer Discovery such a memorable experience for our students. We hope they head into the new school year with great memories, new skills, and lots to be proud of! 💙🦅

19 volunteers from Scout Motors spent the day giving back to our Fisher Elementary community! Their team rolled up their sleeves and helped clean classrooms, lockers, and hallways, helping get our school ready for an exciting year ahead. ✨🧹

🌟 Full-Time Title I Paraprofessional
∙ Monday–Friday | 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM

⭐ Title 1 Job Requirements:
∙ Option 1: Complete at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hours); or
∙ Option 2: Obtain an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution; or
∙ Option 3: Meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through passage of an approved formal state academic assessment in the following areas: Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics; or Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate.
⭐ Current State Board of Education Approved Assessments
∙ College Board’s SAT – Must score at least a 480 on evidence-based reading and writing and a 530 on math
∙ ETS Parapro Assessment – A passing score of 460 is required

We’re excited to share some exciting news! 🌟

South Redford School District is partnering with Ecotek Lab to bring real-world scientific research opportunities to students in grades 3–12, including a dedicated research lab at Thurston High School.

Students are already exploring research in areas including autonomous vehicle communication, drone technology, alternative energy, and sustainable construction. 🚗🚁⚡

📣 Families interested in learning more are invited to a Parent/Guardian Information Meeting this Thursday, August 20!
