Representative Burt Whaley presented House Bill 2551 to the House Committee on Children and Families this week.

House Bill 2551:

Establishes the offense of grooming of a minor, which occurs if a person is 18 years of age or older and knowingly engages in a pattern of conduct that includes at least one overtly sexual act or communication directed toward a minor who is 17 years of age or younger.

As part of our fundraising effort for the 2026 State Convention on April 18th in Branson, we are having a couple of great raffles. Our biggest battle right now are not the democrats, but rather the soft, squishy, middle of the road, RINO politicians. We can defeat an opponent that stands squarely in front of us. It's the ones that say they are behind us and yet will gladly stab us in the back that we need to be concerned about. Thankfully, neither of our Missouri Senators are on this list.

When Elon and Vivek visited Congress a year ago, and every member ran to the mic to cheerlead the concept of DOGE, I went up and told them finding fraud and waste wouldn’t be the problem- THIS room (full of Congress) would be their problem.

I just wanted to thank all of the wonderful Stone and Taney County MRA members who helped make our Christmas Market & Bake Sale a success this last Saturday. Lots of donated items, donated baked goods and donated time resulted in a great event. Thanks to all the people who came and bought stuff. And finally, thanks to the American Legion Post 637 for being such awesome hosts.

Christmas Market & Bake Sale this Saturday from 9am - 4pm at the American Legion Post 637 in Kimberling. Many "New" and "Like New" items will be available as well as fresh homemade baked goods, and some great raffles. Proceeds will go to support the 2026 MRA State Convention in Branson, and the American Legion Post 637. The Holiday Boutique & Basket Raffle will also be happening upstairs at the Kimberling Area Library at the same time. Come get some of your Christmas shopping done early and support great causes. Free refreshments will be provided.
