Join us tomorrow night as we continue to have speakers that discuss and answer questions regarding Amendments in the upcoming election. Tomorrow night we will have State Senator Mike Moon discussing Amendment 3. Next month we will have Senator Brad Hudson also discussing Amendment 3. In October, we will discuss Amendments 6 & 7 (speaker TBD).

With only a week remaining before election day, Stone County MRA will spend the bulk of our July meeting this Thursday discussing Amendment 5. If you still have questions about Amendment 5, come and listen to Rep. Darin Chappell (MO-137th). He will explain the proposed Amendment and answer questions.

Representative Burt Whaley presented House Bill 2551 to the House Committee on Children and Families this week.

House Bill 2551:

Establishes the offense of grooming of a minor, which occurs if a person is 18 years of age or older and knowingly engages in a pattern of conduct that includes at least one overtly sexual act or communication directed toward a minor who is 17 years of age or younger.
