During the weeks of June 15 - June 19 and June 22 - June 25, Dominion Paving will be powerwashing yellow curbs and replacing concrete curbs and gutters on our streets, as well as some areas of sidewalk.

Powerwashing
Cars do not have to be moved during the powerwashing as these areas are already designated no parking, but you may wish not to park near the fire lane.

Alternate Parking
For concrete work, no cars should be parked within 30 feet (3 parking spaces) of any sidewalk, curb, or gutter marked with an orange paint X beginning at 6:30 am on the day of work. Cars can be parked on Becontree Lane or at Forest Edge Elementary School. If you are parking at the school, they have requested that we keep to the back of the parking lot as much as possible to give teachers and staff access.

Great Falls Park

Limited visitor access to Great Falls Park resumes this weekend with a partial reopening of parking lots, but NO Entrance/Parking FEE.

This will ensure that visitors are able to enjoy the park while maintaining social distance.

Restrooms at Great Falls Park will also be reopened.
The Great Falls Visitor Center remains closed.

As services remain limited, the National Park Service urges visitors to #RecreateResponsibly by doing the following:

 Adhere to the physical distancing guidelines (6 feet apart) and small group guidelines (fewer than 10 people) issued by the CDC and state and local governments.
 If you encounter a crowded trail-head or overlook, go elsewhere. Great Falls has 15+ miles of trails to explore!
 Be respectful of other visitors. Cover your nose and mouth when passing others on a trail.
 Plan to visit at times other than the busiest parts of the day. Great Falls is typically busiest from 11 am to 4 pm.
