We are very happy to announce that The Asteria Foundation has sent their first field worker to monitor and evaluate their project in Liberia, one of many projects around the globe. The International Projects Coordinator traveled to Monrovia to meet with The More Than Me Foundation that we are collaborating with. We take girls off the street and put them in school, in the slum of West Point. The project is amazing and truly makes a difference in the girls' lives by giving them a chance to go to school, learn to read and write, and have a choice for their future.
Pictures will come soon!

Thank you to all who support us in our mission of fighting the cycle of poverty worldwide!

The Zamar Educational and Chartiable Trust is a small organization in India, which provides education, food, water, medicine and shelter to children who are orphans or come from poor backgrounds. We are helping them by funding the school fees and supplies to help this local organization provide the education to the children they are helping.

We will also be posting pictures for another project that we are involved in, working with the Zamar Educational and Charitable Trust. We are providing funds to help the orphanage educate the children, and provide them with basic needs. We will be posting an album soon, so you can see the children from this wonderful community!
Thank you for following our progress!

Drought returns to West Africa’s Sahel, bringing hunger as crisis looms

What actions can we take in West Africa's looming drought to avoid the thousands of threatened deaths lost in past droughts?

DAKAR, Senegal — For the third time in the past decade, drought has returned to the arid, western shoulder of Africa, bringing hunger to millions. Aid agencies are warning that if action is not taken now, the region known as the Sahel could slip into crisis.

General information

Our Vision The Asteria Foundation’s vision isn’t full of flowery words or lofty speech. That’s because we’re about solving the problem, not talking about them. We envision a world where poverty has been conquered, not through endless donations, but through educating the victims of poverty and giving them the chance to start their own businesses and become self sufficient. Through key partnerships with existing foundations and organizations, we believe that reaching our goals is possible in our lifetime.
