I am now advertising with the Rainbow Wedding Network, an LGBTQ wedding resource site and magazine. I also just visited Rhinebeck's Omega Institute yesterday for the first time -- what a wonderful place!

We went to see "The Secret of Kells" this weekend -- it was so beautiful. Hand-drawn animation about The Book of Kells, which is a masterpiece of Western calligraphy created in Ireland 1200 years ago. The artwork of the movie itself is inspiring and mesmerizing, kaleidoscopic, fluid and alive, blending modern and medieval aesthetics. Two days later, I'm still feeling the effect of it each time I look at a tree.

Jonathan Blum and I have been working together for 13 years. He paints marvelous ketubot on wide wooden frames and I provide the calligraphy on paper. We have recently started working on a new method: Jonathan creates a monoprint on paper and sends it to me to add the calligraphy directly into his artwork.

Attended a luncheon yesterday at Arbor Ridge in Hopewell Junction hosted by the Hudson Valley and Westchester Perfect Wedding Guide. Another batch of great ideas and met some very nice people! Plus, I actually went back to the buffet for seconds.
