New, more focused support groups!

After the Birthquake is learning, growing, and expanding, and we’re excited to offer more support groups centered around shared experiences.

Our Community Corners and Peer Support Gatherings will remain as spaces for connection and social support, alongside our new, more specific support groups.

We want to make sure we’re offering groups that are actually needed, so we want your input!

Keep an eye out for our upcoming poll where you can tell us which groups you’d like to see.👀

We’re excited to keep growing and improving After the Birthquake with the people we serve.🤎

After the Birthquake is continuing to grow, and we’re looking to add members to our Board of Directors to help oversee the nonprofit and guide where we go next.

Looking for a new way to volunteer? This is an opportunity to get involved with a growing local nonprofit and have a say in its future.

You don’t need previous nonprofit board experience or professional experience in the perinatal field. We’re looking for people who believe in our mission and can bring different skills, perspectives, and experiences to the board. Lived experience with birth trauma is welcome, but not required.

Our current board members are also open to shifting positions as our board develops, so if there’s a position you’re interested in that currently appears to be filled, please still reach out!

Time to announce what’s behind Door Number One!🚪✨

We recently got the keys to our new office space!🤍

We aren’t fully moved in yet, but we couldn’t wait to share a little sneak peek! This space is a huge step forward for After the Birthquake and gives us so much more room to gather, connect, support one another, and continue growing.

We’re incredibly grateful for where we started, but we’re even more excited for where we’re going.

We can’t wait to show you more of the space once we’re settled in!🫶🏽

What’s your volunteer style? 👀

After the Birthquake is growing, and we’re looking for more people who want to help us support women & families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum challenges. And no, you don’t have to be an expert, have tons of free time, or know exactly what you’re doing. We just need people who want to show up and help.

So.. which volunteer are you? 👇

😎THE EVENT PERSON
You love being where the action is! Help with set-up and take-down, work our booth at community events, chat with people, and help spread the word about what we do.

🫶THE SOCIAL BUTTERFLY
If you’re the person who can strike up a conversation with just about anyone, this one’s for you. Help during our peer support groups by welcoming attendees, helping with set-up and take-down, and creating a warm, welcoming space.

💰THE FUNDRAISER
You have ideas. We want them. 👀 Help dream up and carry out fundraising efforts. From bake sales and share nights to our annual gala. Bring your creativity, your connections, or just a willingness to help make things happen.

And maybe you’re a little bit of all three. That works too. 😉
