We are so excited to announce that this afternoon, the UTD Academic Senate voted in favor of Dr. Benson’s recommendations for grading option changes. Be on the lookout for an official announcement from the university tomorrow with the final implementation plans.
These recommendations are similar to what the UT Austin president and provost implemented. Thank you to the student body for your advocacy. This would not have happened without you!!!

Final results for the 2020-2021 Student Government Elections!
TODAY IS THE DAY! The run-off elections will be to fill the last seat of each of the JSOM, ECS, BBS, NSM schools and the Freshman class.
If you are in any of the following schools, you will get to vote for one candidate of that school as well as a Freshman candidate. If you are not in any of the schools, no worries, because you will still get to vote for a Freshman candidate!
Polls are open until 4pm (CST) today only! ☄️☄️☄️

We will Amplify these students' voices by advocating for the Black Student Body’s demands and creating a standing Diversity and Equity committee on Student Government. Among other directives to make UTD a more inclusive place, we will push for scholarship equity and transparency, prioritize student COVID-19 and mental health concerns, and drive a movement for budgetary justice throughout campus communities. Make your voice louder!"

“I am passionate about racial equity in education. I believe that Student Government must push UTD to make necessary changes, specifically regarding funding minority students who are currently barred from accessing scholarships.”

“I have not only grown to love UTD and all its students but also developed connections with people who have shown me where UTD needs improvement.
