Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that helped to support our 25th annual Reverse Drawing, (Socially Distanced Drive-in Style) on Saturday night!
Congratulations to John Hoopes, our big winner of the $5,000 grand prize! To everyone that purchased a ticket and/or came out to the event, we appreciate you more than you know! Every dollar we raise goes right back into our community projects, school organizations, scholarships and charities. Without your support, that wouldn't be possible!
This was our first time ever (like so many things in 2020!) holding this event outdoors, so although everything didn't go exactly as planned and some things we couldn't even plan for, we succeeded in having fun, sharing a delicious meal, giving away prizes and raising money! We did try to stream the event via Facebook Live, but ran into some login difficulties, so we apologize to those that tried to watch it online! Let's hope we don't have to be outdoors again next year, but if we do, we will surely ask for your suggestions to make it better!
A special thank you to Bruno Perry, our Master of Ceremonies working off a handwritten list by flashlight (and bad verbal cues!), to Reva Sullivan working with her computer and the projector covered up to keep the rain off, to Ken Brown for setting up our sound system and lighting the podium, to Napoli's Pizza for the door prizes, and to Novy at Golden Corral and the rest of the catering staff for the delicious meal!! Thanks to all our dedicated Richlands Rotary members that helped with the planning, ticket sales and the event- Tony Bostic, Gregg Whitehead, Andy Kepes, Stan (and Beverly) Simchick, Walter & Carlen Cianfaglione, Lori Brown (and her family that provided handmade door prizes!), Brad and Michelle Staley (and daughter Annalise), Susan Taylor, Diana Barnes, Cherie Schulz and former member Jeff Fuller for their technical assistance. You are all amazing!
And to Covid 19- sorry, you can't keep us down!
Yours in Service,
Richlands Rotary Club
