RICHMOND, Ky. (June 15, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted just before 12:00 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2026 by the Somerset Police Department advising Calain Myers has been arrested.

Troopers and other law enforcement agencies are continuing to actively search for escaped inmate Calain Myers.

The preliminary investigation indicates Myers left the Madison County Detention Center through an unsecured door shortly before midnight on June 11.

Myers is described as a white male, 6'0", 165 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and orange pants. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact Kentucky State Police Post 7 at (859) 623-2404 or your local law enforcement agency.

We appreciate the tips and shares from the public as this search continues.

Myers is described as a white male, 6'0", 165 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and orange pants.

If you have information about his whereabouts, contact KSP Post 7 at (859) 623-2404 or your local law enforcement agency. The investigation is being conducted by KSP Trooper Bailie Wilson.

A huge thank you to Cabela's in Lexington for their incredible support of Trooper Island Camp, Inc. 🎣

Today, as part of Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Annual Rod & Reel Donation Day, they donated more than 200 fishing rods, 100 reels, 100 bobbers, and 100 bottles of water for our campers.

These rods and reels are going to help create memories that will last a lifetime. There's nothing quite like watching a kid catch their first fish on Trooper Island!

🦘 Today’s update I didn’t have on the calendar..

Kentucky State Police, Post 7 received a call regarding a red tail kangaroo just before 11:00 a.m. yesterday morning, spotted between Berea and Richmond.

Troopers and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife responded to the Gibson Bay area and searched for the animal but were unable to locate it at that time. It has since been safely returned to its owner.

Not your typical “be on the lookout,” but we appreciate everyone who shared information and helped keep an eye out.

Big congratulations to Donnie Webster on receiving the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety Education Excellence Award.

Nobody deserves it more. Donnie does a tremendous job for KSP and spends countless hours educating the public and making a difference across the Commonwealth.
