The 10 under 10 award is awarded to pharmacists who have graduated in the past 10 years who stand out among the rest regarding leadership, community service, impact on the profession, and more. The awards will be awarded at VPhA's annual meeting in July.

Congratulations to the winners of our beer and wine raffle yesterday. We appreciated everyone who bought tickets yesterday. Special thanks to all of the local supporters, Peaks of Otter Winery, Parkway Brewing, Soaring Ridge Brewery, Twin Creeks Brewery, Big Lick Brewing, and Starr Hill Brewery for their support in helping us create two amazing baskets filled with local wines and beers. All our students and new practitioners are thankful for the support!

Did you hear? ANFP's annual wine fundraiser has expanded! We now have two baskets you could win at MidYear. A wine basket featuring Virginia Wines and a beer basket featuring a variety of local breweries.
Tickets will be sold Saturday, February 16th during VPhA's MidYear Meeting for $5 or 5 for $20. Winner will be announced before VPhA's membership meeting. You must be present to win.

Hi Everyone! The VCU ASP chapter is looking for a preceptor 1/25 at the Library of Virginia in Richmond from 5-6pm. It is my understanding they will be speaking about diabetes then checking blood glucose. Exciting potential opportunity to help our future colleagues: During our monthly ANP committee meeting, we learned that some students have expressed difficulty in finding preceptors for pharmacy related outreach events.
In efforts to serve our communities and help student pharmacists learn, we decided it could be helpful to have student ASP leaders post on our wall when they are in need of a preceptor. The student will provide a brief description of an event (ex: Blood pressure checks at the Lynchburg health fair on January 16 from 2-4pm) and their contact information. If you are interested and able to help, please reach out to the student to learn more about any requirements necessary to fulfill the role of preceptor and the details of the event.
We hope that by connecting students and new practitioners, we can work together to serve the community and help student pharmacists gain the experience they need to become successful pharmacists!
