Rosie The Riveter Trust Rosie the Riveter Trust is the nonprofit partner building a community of support for the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park.

Supporting the Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park. Richmond California. In 1997, a group of Richmond citizens formed the Rosie the Riveter Memorial Committee to create a memorial that would honor the women who had worked on the home front during the war. The committee brought together a coalition of supporters to fund the creation of a permanent landscape sculpture and the

City of Richmond sponsored an open design competition to select a design team. In October 2000, the Committee dedicated the sculpture in Marina Bay—a former Kaiser shipyard from World War II—with several hundred “Rosies” in attendance. Local leaders formed the Rosie the Riveter Trust, and worked with Congressman George Miller seeking Congressional authorization for a feasibility study to determine whether a national park could be established. Congressman Miller then carried legislation and President William Clinton signed the bill that established the Rosie the Riveter/Home Front National Historical Park on October 24, 2000. Description:
The Ford Assembly Plant in Richmond was more than just a factory—it was a lifeline. Workers here didn’t just build cars; they built a future. During World War II, they shifted gears to support the war effort, turning the plant into a powerhouse of production. But the impact didn’t stop when the last vehicle rolled off the line. The plant shaped Richmond’s workforce, economy, and identity in ways that still matter today. Walk through this history with a ranger and see how industry, war, and resilience came together to leave a lasting mark on the city and its people.

Growing community partnerships are at the heart of our development efforts at Rosie The Riveter Trust.

We could not do what we do without community partnerships like this very special one with the Golden State Warriors! They make every effort to reach out to Richmond Youth, and we are delighted to facilitate their attendance at STEM/Sports camps.

Thank you so much Golden State Warriors!!

Basketball training has come a long way. Gone are the days when all you needed was a ball, a hoop, and long hours on the court. Over the weekend, a clinic hosted by the Warriors introduced some local hoopsters to some cutting-edge technology.
