💧West County Wastewater! Thursday, January 16
3:00PM – 4:00 PM
Come for a 30-minute session as Judy Chen of WCW discuss Sewer Lateral Compliance and the PIPES Incentive Program.

WCW is on a mission to spread the word about the importance of sewer pipes, including sewer laterals that connect sewer lines to your home or business. Did you know property owners are responsible for the care and maintenance of sewer laterals? Aging and unkept sewer laterals can lead to pipe cracks and breaks, smelly spills, and costly repairs. Together we can achieve the goal of environmental stewardship.

Come to El Sobrante Library for a seasonal program on mindfulness for kids and families. Librarian Mariah learned meditation techniques as a child, and has maintained a lifelong practice.

As an educator, she trained in mindfulness, meditation, and social emotional learning strategies with Mina Srinivasan and Healthy Oakland Kids & Teens. She will guide kids and families in building a mindfulness practice with stories, songs, movement, techniques, and tools. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to practicing mindfulness, so many strategies will be offered, for kids and families to use what works for them. Mindfulness supports social emotional learning, and ongoing personal development, for lifelong use.

Four seasonal sessions will be offered, on the last Saturday at 11am on January 25th, April 26th, July 26th, and October 25th. All families with children 12 and under are welcome.

Generously funded by the Friends of the El Sobrante Library.

Recommended for families with children 12 and under.

Participants limited to 48.

Online Registration required.
