On Sunday June 14, 2026, Mr. Mason Meadows, 27, of St. Augustine FL. was involved in a two vehicle collision. The collision occurred around 2200 hours in the vicinity of Kato Bay Road and Okeetee Fire Road near Ridgeland SC. Mr. Meadows was pronounced dead at the Scene.
SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
The Coroners office would like to extend our condolences and prayers for all those involved.

On Sunday May 24, 2026, the Jasper County Coroners Office was contacted by Coastal Carolina Hospital to inform us of the passing of Mr. Antoine T. Johnson, 31, of Ridgeland SC. Mr. Johnson was involved in an ATV accident earlier that day and was transported to the hospital where he passed away.

The SC Highway patrol along with the coroner’s office is investigating the incident.

The coroner’s office extends our condolences and prayer to all involved.

On May 9th at approximately 10:45 pm, law enforcement and emergency personnel were dispatched to Alligator Alley, after a passing motorist discovered a fire near the road. When police arrived, they discovered the body of Ms. Aveonnah Moore to be deceased and partially burned. After the investigation at the scene, the Jasper County Coroners office took custody of Ms. Moore pending an autopsy at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
The results of the autopsy revealed Ms. Moore's cause of death is by a gunshot wound.
The coroner's office would like to thank Jasper County Sheriffs office, SLED, and the FBI for assisting us in identifying Ms. Moore and locating her family for notification.
Our sincere condolences and prayers go out to the family during this time of tragedy.

On Saturday March 07, 2026, the coroners office was contacted by detectives from the sheriffs office in regards to the discovery of skeletal remains in a wooded area near Coosawhatchie and Point South.
The coroner's office will be sending the remains for identification and testing.

On March 06, 2026, Mr. Francisco Garcia Bonilla, 22, of Ridgeland was involved in a two-vehicle collision. The accident occurred on Deerfield Road (HWY 321) near Old Charleston Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

December 6, 2025
At approximately 8:40 pm on December 5, 2025, Mrs. Keeley Kai Hall, 25, of Ridgeland SC, was involved in a three-vehicle collision. The incident occurred on Lowcountry Drive, East of Snake Road. Mrs. Hall was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

The Coroners office extends its condolences and prayers to the family for their loss.

November 17, 2025

At approximately 2:00 pm on November 16, 2025, Mr. Clarence J. Washington, 44 of Hardeeville SC was involved in an ATV accident that occurred at Purrysburg Road and Old Charleston Highway, in Hardeeville.

Mr. Washington was treated at the scene of the accident and then transported to Coastal Carolina Hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

The Coroners Office extends our sincere condolences and prayers to the family of Mr. Washington.
