I have spoken to Parks and Recreation of Eden NC in regards to Freedom Park for a nice place to have our meetings((((pot luck and games as well as the meeting)))) with nice weather knocking on our door. We can't reserve the shelter until COVID restrictions are lifted, but we can use them first come first serve until then, as long as we observe the current restrictions in place. I am looking at every second Wednesday of each month at noon starting April 14,2021. This works with the group we currently have, but as we grow we can accommodate everyone's schedule. I am looking at once a month but as we grow, if warranted, we can have them every two weeks on a different day of the week , maybe then we can book an entire day from 10am to close if it is on a weekend. This park is beautiful and always well maintained. If anyone is interested please let me know as I need to keep track of how many will be attending to keep within the COVID regulations. I am in hopes that as people are at the park maybe we can draw in even more members !!! I will be calling back towards the end /beginning of the month to see if anything has changed. I think this is an awesome place for our meetings so we can have an an enjoyable experience as we gather to serve our communities. Once restrictions are lifted I will be able to rent the shelter from 10am o 3 pm to allow time for set up and clean up. I am EXTREMELY excited to see the wheels turning !!!
