We're a group of local food warriors attempting to connect local farmers, our communities, and local businesses as we aim for a sustainable local food system- We're students, mothers, farmers, educators, community leaders, and active environmentalists. For far too long the Rio Grande Valley has been associated with negativity in terms of food choices, toxic agriculture methods, health status, etc.
- but despite our setbacks (which may or may not be directly our fault- this page is not engaging in that debate) we have the power to change our systematic food issues- by eliminating poisons from the food we eat and grow, supporting our local farmers and economy, and by capitalizing on food education. To bring local organic produce awareness, availability, and accessibility to Rio Grande Valley residents despite their location, socioeconomic status, or educational background. Working as the/with the/for community;
2. Maximizing on sustainable agricultural education;
3. Supporting local organic farmers;
4. Active engagement on relatable food issues. What can you do? Like and Share. :)
